Mud Ball Set

This incredible multi piece set includes are variety of different sized and coloured mud balls to display on a table or can be hung on the wall. 

These mud balls are made using a timely Japanese process called Hikaru Dorodangoes. The balls of mud are moulded, left to dry, layered with dry dirt and repeated over and over until a sphere is formed, then polished. 

The colour of the finished dirt balls comes from the hue of the dust or clay used to coat the outside layers of the tightly-compressed ball of mud. The process requires a lot of patience while the layers are compiled and finished.
