Maike

Maike was born in Germany and moved to the UK in 1989 where she gained a BA Degree in Jewellery at Middlesex University in ‘95 and an MA from the Royal College of Art in London in '97. She set up her Jewellery workshop in Bristol / UK, where she also taught at the Bristol School of Art.

She then moved to New Zealand in 2007 and settled at Whangarei Heads in Northland where she discovered her passion for growing things. She divided her time between Jewellery making and running a Flower Farm. In 2021 Maike made the decision to move to Motueka in the South Island and returned to work on her love of jewellery and became a full time jeweller again.
